Gravity Defying Bangs Tutorial by Cattypatra Gravity Defying Bangs Tutorial by Cattypatra
So yes! Here it is! I've been planning to do a tutorial on gravity defying bangs for quite some time, and while I was styling my Maria Renard wig I thought this would be the perfect opportunity.

So for those who asked for it, here it is!

This can be used for a lot of different characters. This is how I made my bangs on my Aeris wig. This tutorial can also be used to make bangs that are more extreme, and also softer. Once you have the initial lift to the bang, you can play with it to your hearts content.

I hope this helps!

PS, next I'll be doing a spiking tutorial. But not for a while yet. Even so, keep your eyes peeled!

Question: After the hairspray is applied and you want to get it out, can you just was the wig? I would like to know so I don't have to buy a whole new one xD

Yes! Gently wash the wig and it should come right out.

Would this work for my actual hair...? because I don't need to wear a wig (and also because they make me very uncomfortable)

I would certainly be a lot more difficult, but it would probably work.

I wouldn't reccoment it however. SUCK IT UP AND USE A WIG. XD

Lol - What's the point in wearing a wig if my hair is already the same length and colour!?

Sorry! I have had bad experiences with wigs...

Real hair looks better if the character has realistic hair to begin with...but with hair that defies gravity, it will be more annoying to style every morning and damaging.

YOU CAN KEEP ON ARGUING WITH ME AS LONG AS YOU WANT HONEY BUN. I'm not changing my mind. What should it matter to me what you do? It's entirely your choice! If you didn't care for my advice why did you ask in the first place? XD

DO YOUR OWN THING. If you can use this techniue on your hair and have it work and look amazing, then great for you! I hope it works out and looks fantastic. With testing and perseverence I'm sure you'll get the results you are looking for.

Even so, I do not change my mind. 99% of the time, a wig ALWAYS looks better. Hey, you might be in that 1% where it looks just as good as a wig. I don't know! And to be honest I don't particularly care!

If this tutorial was of use to you than I am very glad. It definitely works best with wig hair, as the fibres are easier to work with than real hair, and it wont get oily or react the way real hair does. Also, it means you are ferking up your real hair, because this techniue is quite extreme and will damage and tangle your hair.

If you are even still reading this then I recommend against using it on real hair because of the potential damage, but if it looks good and you're willing to spend an hour or two conditioning and brushing out your bangs afterwards then GO FOR IT.

TLDR; WHY DO I EVEN BOTHER WITH YOU.

I have a question, how long does the shaping last? do you have to redo it after a certain amount of time?

Sorry for the late reply. As far as I'm aware, this style stays very very well. I'll re spruce a wig up and spray it back into place before wearing it again, but it holds quite well. Just remember not to pack your wig away, this will ruin it. Put it on a wig head!
