Woooo! Morrigan! Godamnit I am obsessed with Dragon Age... I can't wait to make more cosplay from 1 and 2 soon.

This costume took me far longer than I was expecting it too... I thought it would be an easy costume to make around WCS and instead it ended up taking around 23-35 hours... OTL.

Top :heart"
The weird wrappy top thingy is made from a deep purple suiting. I love the colour of it! However, I'm not happy with how I patterned this, so I will be re making it before I wear Morrigan again.

Skirt

Oh god... There are like 60 belts and 82 eyelets in this skirt. OH MAN. I never want to see eyelets again! D8 Hours of hammering... The skirt is made of a combination of suede, pleather and vinyl for a mix of textures. There is also cut and hair sprayed fur around the top and side patch for some added texture. In some art Morrigan has it, in others she doesn't, but I personally included it because it broke up the black in the skirt. I did more belts in the skirt than in game Morrigan and followed the concept art more closely because I feel more belts make the skirt look more organic. I'm very happy with how the skirt turned out!

Jewellery

The jewellery was very last minute! I made the necklace as a combination of two of Morrigans', unfortunately my neck and chest just aren't long enough to pull off three necklaces. The bracelets are gold ones I picked up from Diva that are imprinted with a snake skin pattern, I thought this animalistic feel was perfect for our resident shape shifter.

Wig

The wig was styled in around an hour. It's been razored around the face for a wispy feel and then pinned into place in the back, to make me look like a BEAUTIFUL PINEAPPLE.
