This tutorial used a Roxas wig for it's example. However, the same principles can be applied to any spiky wig that isn't HUGE. This is the method I also used for my old Sora wig!

I hope this is helpful for some people. I've had a lot of people asking me to post a tutorial on spiking. So here it finally is! This is the easiest, most simple way to spike. When using a wig that doesn't have a lot of natural lift like a Scruffy or a Punky, there is a different procedure that I use to create spikes. It's much harder, but I might do a tutorial of this in the future. It uses many of the same principles once again, but it is more labour intensive and frustrating.

Anyway, until my next tutorial.

This is probably the best spiking job I've ever seen o_o So many times it looks chunky and weird, but the way you did it makes it look really natural. I'll definitely be trying this out!!

Let's say that I have a wig to style, but that thank god the character I want to cosplay doesn't look like a firecraker exploded on his head (xD). If I wanted only to... crap, English is failing me D: If I only wanted to shape the fringe and the bangs on the sides of my face (like the last two pictures on the left st the end of the tutoria), shall I use only hair spray or the gel? The hair of my wig is so thick I can't leave the grasp on the whisp of hair I want to separate: it immediatly comes back to the original bowl shape o.O

ahh this is amazing thank you :) my friend asked me to fix up her wig for her for her cosplay outfit but i've only done this kind of stuff on my own hair and never on a wig before so i wasn't sure if there was any difference but this gave me an idea of what to do thanks a ton :)
